The Ken Wright Memorial Race

 

The Ken Wright Memorial Race, hosted by the VCR Cycling Club, is a highlight in the local cycling calendar, drawing participants and spectators alike for a day of competition and camaraderie. Named in honour of a prominent figure in the cycling community, the race embodies the spirit of endurance, community, and the love of the sport.

Ken Wright was a dedicated cyclist and community advocate who inspired many through his commitment to the sport. The VCR Cycling Club established this race to honor his legacy and encourage new generations of cyclists. The event not only showcases athletic prowess but also pays tribute to the values that Ken represented: perseverance, sportsmanship, and community engagement.

The 2026 edition of the Ken Wright Memorial RR will be held on the Tolleshunt Knights Circuit. The race will be held under BC regulations for 3/4 catagory riders over a distance of 50 miles.
